The T818 is an industrial edge AI computer built around the NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX module. This is the silver-enclosure version of the T818; the silver enclosure finish is the only difference from the standard black version. The 8GB version delivers 70 TOPS of AI performance (117 TOPS in Super Mode) with a 6-core Arm Cortex-A78AE CPU; the 16GB version delivers 100 TOPS (157 TOPS in Super Mode) with an 8-core CPU. Both versions share a 1024-core NVIDIA Ampere GPU with 32 Tensor Cores and 102.4 GB/s of LPDDR5 memory bandwidth. The fan-cooled finned aluminum enclosure with a silver finish (160 × 100 × 50 mm) provides dual Gigabit Ethernet with optional PoE, two USB 3.2 Type-A ports plus Type-C OTG and Debug ports, HDMI 2.0, RS232 and RS485 serial (DB9), CAN-FD and GPIO, with a wide 9–24V DC input and a −20°C to 70°C operating range for machine vision, factory automation, intelligent transportation and robotics. Storage is provided by an M.2 Key M NVMe SSD (external NVMe support), and Ubuntu 20.04 comes pre-installed.
